The miniature horse is bred worldwide on farms and ranches Since man has bred them from standard size horses they are not found in the wild . They cannot be taller than 34", have diverse coloring and are fed an herbivore diet. They are replicas of their larger cousins with care being the same as for the larger breeds, such as the Quarter horse, Arabians, Thoroughbreds and draft horses. Since they are intelligent, curious and thrive on attention, they make delightful companions and are often used in therapeutic programs for the disabled and aged.
